Liberty Elementary Rain Garden

I want to start by thanking you and all of the individuals who have helped create a Rain Garden at Liberty Elementary.  It is a project that has been embraced by our students and our teachers.

While the garden is lovely to look at I think its value goes far beyond the aesthetics.  As a child I never thought about preserving our earth or even being respectful of its bounty.  Today we are realizing just how fragile and important our earth is.  I am hopeful that through efforts like yours our children will grow up to be good stewards of our planet.  Certainly it has provided an opportunity for our children to learn and appreciate the beauty that surrounds them.

Look at the enthusiasm that the children bring to the garden as they help plant, weed and water and enjoy the wildlife that these native plants attract.

Again, thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible!
