Neighborhood Green Training
Frederick County Extension Building: May 11 & 18
Waterford Park: May 25

Course Announcement: Would you like to learn how to design a sustainable and environmentally friendly landscape for your property and acquire the tools necessary to make your vision a reality? If so then we welcome you to attend the Neighborhood Green training scheduled for May 11, 18, and 25 in Frederick, Maryland. The Neighborhood Green training will cover relevant conservation, wildlife enhancement, forestry and tree care practices; and, we will help you develop an individual plan for your property. Once your plan is prepared, one of our staff of natural resource experts will be available to meet with you on your property to review your plan if you wish to do so. In addition, you may be eligible for cost share assistance to pay for a substantial amount of the implementation of this practice. You will also receive a copy of the course manual “The Woods in Your Backyard” along with other reference materials. Due to space limitations registration is limited to 50 people. There is a $25 fee per person to cover the costs associated with this program. Checks should be made out to “Frederick County Forestry Board.” To register, please send payment and the completed registration document to:
